FOOD 9/10 The jalapeno ham and cheese croissants when heated and made correctly, are the best you'll ever have. 10/10 Chocolate croissant is good! 9/10 The green thai tea is really good 10/10 Donuts are mid. I tried the green tea and thai tea donut, which was okay...all their donuts are kinda grainy which I wasn't a fan of. 6/10 SERVICE 10/10 The people here are really nice and quick to get your food. AMBIANCE 0/10 Place looks small and dirty. Long lines. long waits Overall 8/10 Best jalapeno ham and cheese croissants. Nice to stop by when it's late since they are open 24/7.

A staple at Newport Pier and honestly the only bakery worthy of a visit. It's a small family owned business, so you're guaranteed delicious pastries! There's always a line out the door, but it's worth the wait. Their ham & cheese croissants are our favorite. We always make sure to pick up a few whenever we're in the area.

Came here after dinner for a donut. There was a line out the door, took about 10 to get in. I just got a glazed donut and it was good, tasted like a typical donut. I didn't know this place was in the area, so I'm glad I know now!

I have always loved coming to this late night spot for a croissant and a green thai tea! You cannot miss with this donut shop. The line can get crazy long but it is totally worth it every single time. I would recommend getting the ham and cheese with jalapeno croissant (warmed up of course) and pair it with a green thai tea. You can expect to wait at least 30 minutes to an hour but sometimes the line moves fairly quickly. The pricing is fairly reasonable for the amount you get and the yumminess of the food/drinksThe workers are always so kind and quick. Seaside bakery does not disappoint!!

Ask anyone who grew up in OC, and they'll tell you this place is legendary - about time I write a review! PARKING: There's parking in front of the businesses lined along next to Seaside, but it can be difficult to find a spot depending on when you come. We most recently came on a weeknight at around 9, so parking was easy. WHAT I ORDERED: Thai tea donut Green thai tea donut Maple cronut Jalapeno ham and cheese croissant Green thai tea DONUTS + DRINKS: In terms of donut quality, it's similar to what you might get at other donut places, but that's not to say this place is mediocre, but rather family-owned donut shops are just all around the board amazing here in SoCal. Way better than anything you'd find on the East Coast as someone who's lived there! The thai tea and green thai tea donuts are fairly unique, but can be hard to taste those flavors. Still delicious, but I'd opt for their other options. I recently tried the maple cronut for the first time and it was amazing! Definitely more crispy and less stale than I'd imagined it would be. The jalapeno ham and cheese croissant is a MUST and probably my go-to item. The green thai tea here is also iconic. Way cheaper than at the boba shops, pretty good quantity, and tastes less ""medicinal"" than other places, if that makes sense. Good ratio with the creamer too. As someone who typically doesn't like green thai tea, this place convinced me. SERVICE: This place is always bustling so they'll get you in and out fast. I recommend stepping back to take a good look at the options so you can order quickly VIBES: There isn't seating inside. It's the type of place where you grab a donut and eat it outside with friends, or better yet, go out to the pier and stare listlessly out into the ocean at the middle of the night while you vent about your ex with friends. BOTTOM LINE: I'm not sure that I'd call this place mindblowing, but this place certainly stands out as a culturally significant place for those of us who grew up here in OC. And especially since they open late at night - sometimes this is the only option. I'd say come here at least once to give it a try and to support this small business!
